Accessibility

We work to ensure that the Village is as accessible as possible. If you are planning on visiting us and would like more about access, the information on this page should help.

Getting Here

Location

The Village is located in Lloyd Elsmore Park, 75 Bells Road, Pakuranga Heights, Auckland.

Car Parking

Accessible car parks are available in the cafe and visitor car park (approx. 10 meters’ walk from the museum’s entrance).

Buses

There are several bus stops near the Village that offer shelter, seating, computerised timetables and touch-to-speak timetables. Please check the Auckland Transport Website for more information.

Entry

Entry Door

We have an accessible door via the ramp that leads to the cafe’s entrance.

Accompanying Carers

We offer complimentary admission to accompanying carers.

Other admission prices can be found here.

Entry for Service Dogs

Guide dogs are permitted in the Village.

Wheelchairs and more

We have a wheelchair and an electronic mobility scooter available for free. Booking is recommended. To book, please call +64 9 576 9506 and speak to our Front of House team.

We recommend wearing closed shoes with grip when visiting the Village since the pathways are covered in shell and can be slippery.

Your Visit

Accessibility Routes

Due to the nature of our heritage buildings, we have limited mobility access. We recommend you discuss your mobility needs with our Front of House staff before purchasing tickets.

We are working on publishing a mobility accessible map that will be available here so that you can pre-plan your visit.

Village Maps

We have printed maps available at the Village’s reception desk in English, German, Mandarin, Japanese and Korean.

Toilets

Our accessible toilets are located in our cafe, situated next to our main entrance.
