The Homestead Café
The Homestead Cafe at the Howick Historical Village offers genuine home cooking in a pioneer setting. Enjoy indoor ambience or outdoor charm with your friends and family. Even in the middle of winter you can soak up the sun while enjoying a leisurely coffee.
On cold winter days we create a warm, cosy and homely atmosphere. In keeping with the old world charm and character of the building, our food reflects good home-cooked fare. The Cafe is licensed.

The gift shop at the Howick Historical Village is becoming well known as a source of tasteful and well-priced gifts and souvenirs, and includes a variety of gifts.
Why not look through the old fashioned toys for a gift with a difference? There is a variety from Beatrix Potter memorabilia, handmade dolls and teddy bears.
Maybe you would prefer to browse through the distinctive and inexpensive jewellery on show. Lavender and rose scented items abound, and you can find beautiful cards to send friends and family.
Remember the old fashioned sweets! When did you last taste a humbug, or aniseed ball? Perhaps you would rather take home a few seeds gathered from plants within the Village, to grow in your own garden.
Call in and find a treasure to take home, as a memento of your visit.
