Group Tours
The Howick Historical Village is a favourite venue for groups looking for an outing with a difference. Even if the weather is poor, we can ensure you have a great experience indoors.
We offer a wide range of personalised tour options for your group, and can include delicious morning and afternoon teas, or lunches, in the Homestead Cafe.
Tours for 10 or more people start from $11 per head. However we can offer far more than this, depending on the interests and levels of fitness of the group. Some of the activities below are suitable for groups with extremely limited mobility.
These options include:
- a guided tour
- free time exploring the Village
- "behind the scenes" tours of the museum
- meeting costumed historical characters who talk about their lives, and share artefacts with the group
- short talks on Victorian pastimes
- cooking and tasting sessions in the Puhi Nui Homestead kitchen
- "hands on" activities such as butter making or rag rug
