Weddings
Celebrate your special day in a tranquil and beautiful 19th century Village setting. The ceremony may be held in an authentic 1850's church or outdoors in one of the charming locations scattered through the Village. We specialize in intimate weddings where the number of guests is 70 or less.
There are a range of settings available within the Village, so we advise making an appointment with our Events Manager, and walking around to see what is suitable. Your reception can also be catered for at the Homestead Café alongside the Village.
Some popular locations for weddings include:
- The simple Methodist Chapel with painted white walls and wooden pews, which may be decorated with flowers and ribbons if you wish.
- The grand old Puhi Nui Homestead grounds, or in the parlour for very small functions.
- The grassed area looking out over the pond and rustic cottages, with trees in the background.
Wedding photographs may be taken in the Village as part of the wedding package, or arranged separately for weddings held elsewhere. The late closing fee is applied for bookings after 3.30pm, and $50 is refunded if the 5pm deadline is met.
Terms for Hireage (including GST)
- Weddings or similar ceremonies - $450
- Late closing fee for weddings - $100
- Wedding Photography only - $150
A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required at the time of booking, and the balance is to be paid in full one month before the event.
