Filming

The Howick Historical Village continues to meet a growing demand from New Zealand film and television.

Magazine and catalogue 'Fashion Shoots' are also catered for, with our 1840 to 1880 period providing an excellent contrast for modern fashion or articles.

Interiors and exteriors can be modified to depict periods in time ranging from mid nineteenth century to early twentieth century.

Generally speaking our fee of $1,000 per day (plus GST) includes:

Parking, including some off street parking (plus discrete additional vehicle access close to some buildings)
Changing rooms, shower and toilet facilities
8am start to 5pm finish (outside these times by prior arrangement and pricing)
Café and restaurant facilities (by arrangement)
Power
Use of over 30 historical buildings ranging from a wealthy landowner's residence to a sod cottage beside a large pond.
A blacksmith's shop, general store, mill and water wheel help complete the picture of Auckland at an early stage of development.
A certain number of props are available for borrowing by separate arrangement.
