Events and Live Days

What's NewHistory comes alive on the third Sunday of every month (excluding December) when up to 30 costumed villagers go about their daily tasks.

The visiting 65th Regiment has an encampment and performs military duties including cannon firing (on occasions) and musket drill. A blacksmith’s shop, general store and post office complete the picture of Auckland at an early stage of its development.

Victorian Classroom

Experience a Victorian classroom, a church service as well as various forms of entertainment and special activities on the day.

Howick Historical Village was rated as being among the top family outings in Auckland in an independent survey arranged by the New Zealand Herald. What’s more, there is no extra charge for these themed Live Day events.
